Privacy policy
Information on the processing of personal data pursuant to Art. 13 and 14 GDPR. The German version is authoritative.

2. Hosting of this website
This website is served as a static site via GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you open the site, GitHub processes technically necessary connection data (including IP address, time, requested file, browser identification) in server log files. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (secure and reliable operation).
3. No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services and loads fonts and images exclusively from its own server. There is therefore no cookie banner and no consent required.
4. Donations via PayPal
The donation page embeds a donate button by PayPal (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22–24 Boulevard Royal, 2449 Luxembourg). The button image and a tracking pixel are loaded from PayPal servers, so PayPal receives your IP address and browser information. After you click it, the payment happens entirely at PayPal; we receive no payment data, only the information about donations received (name and amount, as far as PayPal passes it on). Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, and Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR when a donation is carried out. PayPal's privacy statement: paypal.com.
5. The eGohm app
The app stores all content locally on your device and works without an internet connection. There are no user accounts, no sign-in and no advertising. Settings (such as languages, font size and Bible translation) are stored locally only.

The web version is delivered via Firebase Hosting (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC), which produces server-side log data.
Error reports
If you use the “report an error” function in the app, the description you enter together with technical details about your device and the app version is transmitted to the service Wiredash. Nothing is transmitted unless you actively send it.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). Please use the address given above.
7. Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy when the website, the app or the legal requirements change.
